    In an age where we all have so many gadgets to charge, this multi smart charging dock is brilliant. I got this to keep in the kitchen where the family could easily have access to charge their mobiles, tablets and watches etc without all the other plugs in the house being taken up. This charger has space for 7 usb cables ( 6 x usb A + 1 USB C ), special holders to support mobiles, tablets and watches. It also comes with 7 cables too to use with this device ( 2 USB A-C, 2 USB A-Lightning, 2 USB A-Micro B, 1 USB C-C) How handy is this?! its been a Godsend for us. This charging station would be so useful for those who works with technology - maybe fixing phones and tablets as they could use it to easily charge up all the devices they are working on. This is a space saving, socket saving gadget, that works well and has proved to be very useful in my household.

    In the box you get the Base Station, 8 x Clear Plastic Dividers, 1 x Clear Plastic iWatch Charger Holder, Mains Power Adapter, and Instructions. In addition to that, you get the following cables:

    1 x USB-C to USB-C
    2 x USB-A to USB-C
    2 x USB-A to Lightning
    2 x USB-A to Micro-USB

    The array of ports give you 1 x USB-C PD 30W and 6 x 0-2.4A (40 Total). I could not see anywhere whether the total output was 70W (30W + 40W) or more/less.

    For the single charge test of the PD port, I used a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. The phone was getting 3A, which was above the minimum fast-charging standard of 2.4A.

    As the PD port is a stand alone from the others, I then connected an iPhone 11 Pro Max to one of the USB-A 0.2.4A ports. The phone was getting just under 1.6A. Quite a way off the 2.4A spec.

    For the next test, in addition to the two phones already connected, I added a Samsung Galaxy A51, Samsung Galaxy S5 and an iPod Touch. Strangely, with the A51, it went up to just over 1.5A, then fell away sharply to just under 1A. All of the devices has pretty much zero battery charge

    Where the phones sort of ended up was:

    Galaxy S21 Ultra 3A
    iPhone 11 Pro Max 1.56A
    Galaxy S5 1.2A
    Galaxy A51 0.98A
    iPod Touch – I did not have a figure for this as App was not installed.

    I will confess to not being technically minded enough to be able to explain how the power is distributed to the phones plugged into the USB-A 0-2.4A ports or why the A51 dropped so sharply. It is also going to depend on what rate your devices can charge at and the current battery charge level – batteries tend to charge slower over the 50% mark.

    One important thing to note is that the diameter of the iWatch charger holder is approx. 28mm and may not fit some of the newer chargers.

    If more devices charging, than fast charging, is more your requirement, then this is a decent piece of kit, and it does have the added benefit of at least one PD port.

    An interesting idea, but fails to deliver on a few fronts. If you have old android and ios devices, and you don't mind the octopus tangle of wires this isn't too bad, this may give you what you want, but for me it falls short on a number of points.
    1) It's great they include a plastic barrier for watch, *but* you don't get a wire for it. Okay no problem, I’ll slip my official Samsung one in - nope doesn't fit, the plastic circle in the divider is too small
    2) Wires, wires, everywhere! I think if they included a boxed off bit underneath, maybe the wires could have been tucked neatly away. I mean it looks really nice on the listing page, but in reality, the wires are slightly different sizes, but if you don't use all the wires, you either leave them plugged in which looks messy or risk losing them if you have to store them separately
    3) It's a little underpowered. It does 12W on the 6 USB ports, but if you use more than one usb simultaneously, it's capped at 40W so charging times will increase.
    4) Maybe I was sent a defective unit, but the usbc port on it is marked for 30W or maybe that too is shared across the other ports, since my S22 does not pick up the new fast charge called ‘super fast charge’. The super fast charge requires at least 25W and I have 3 or 4 other 30W chargers that *does* charge the s22 on super fast charge. So either defectic unit / poor QA, but the phone isn't seeing 30W on the PD port.
    5) If all or most of your devices are large / phablet sized, the charger does get a little crowded.
    PLUS points: without all the wires plugged in, it does look very nice. Comes with a long mains lead, so you can plug it in and have more options where you want to place the charger . You get plastic transparent dividers supplied, including an extra one if you don't use the watch one, which I thought was really good, since not everyone is going to want the watch divider. With the wires not being soldered in, by using usb ports, it makes the charger more flexible and you can use your own cables too.
